Giulia Forte is an Acoustic Guitarist Singer & Songwriter living in Nashville with roots in Colombia, Italy and Los Angeles
She began playing guitar 11 months ago. Follow her extraordinary journey.
Giulia (Jules) Forte describes her music as
“A girl and her guitar.”
She grew up near the beach in Venice, California, but moved to Nashville in 2022 at the age of 17.
Jules began playing guitar on October 2, 2021 after someone hijacked her TikTok account. After marching down to the TikTok headquarters to futilely demand justice, she found herself with time on her hands. She could do homework or pick up her brother’s abandoned guitar. She chose guitar.
Within a few months Jules had amassed over 100 covers, learning guitar from random YouTube channels. After relocating to Nashville in the Spring of 2022, still 17, she began voice coaching with Ron Browning who is the vocal coach to Greta Van Fleet and Alison Krauss, who has one more Grammys than any other artist. Her voice has been likened to Shakira’s, who happens to be from her father’s hometown in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Jules began documenting her “Musical Journey” on Instagram in January of 2022. She posted over 100 acoustic covers in 100 days, beginning when she was playing only 7 months.
She details her challenges with each song to encourage others who struggle to master guitar. She also began giving tutorials to encourage and broaden the music community.
Jules plays a wide range of covers from genres ranging from The Rolling Stones, to Tracy Chapman, Jewel, Joni Mitchell and Lady Gaga. She covers music in English, Italian and Spanish. She describes her original music as “Girl with her guitar,” a contemporary folk style with country and folk-rock influences.
She has been playing 11 months, feels she has completed Chapter one of her Guitar Journey - where she learned to play guitar. Now she is quite accomplished and is entering Chapter 2: Determining the Genre of music she would like to play as a professional musician.
