In Los Angeles we living amongst millions of people but remain isolated. You go out, “bust a mission” and get home to close your doors. Nashville greets you with open arms. But I swore when I got here I would not carry with me the California ways, where “let’s get together soon” means “I plan on never seeing you again.”

I made friends with Brendan Bennett on Instagram as we were both recent escapees from Los Angeles. He is an amazing bassist who played a big stage in Vegas when he was just 20 years old.

We decided to “shake off our California habits” and actually do a face-to-face meet. We chose the Gibson Garage in Downtown Nashville and then “did lunch” like for real, not just talk.

Nashville does this to you. Music city draws you in and makes you part of its music community.
